Drab To Fab: DIY Peplum Top

Hey Lovelies,

Peplum has always been on of my favorite silhouettes and I am always enthusiastic about DIY, hence I do not need anymore reasons not to have this post up!! This DIY is super simple and can be done out of an over sized tee sitting in the back of your closet(or you can use your brother's/father's or boyfriends large tee)

You can also read my peplum dress DIY here

For this project you will need
-Extra large tee
-Scissors
-Measurement tape
-Pen
-Paper for pattern
-A top that fits well
-Sewing supplies

Place your the top in half and measure the bottom with tape.
I have used a crop top, you can also use a fitted top but in this case you will have to measure the smallest part of the tee which will be your waist line.
Take that measurement and divide it with 2 and add 0.5 of an inch.
for example: 6/2= 3 + 0.5=3.5''
-Now take a news paper in half and with a pen measure 3.5'' from the folded corner and draw a quarter circle as the picture below.
-After that determine how wide would you want your peplum and mark parallel(concentric) along the 1st quarter circle.
-mine is 6'' long/wide.
After you cut along the lines you drew earlier you should end up with something like this.
Here on the pictures are pretty self explanatory.

Flip all the pieces on the wrong side and finished the edges and armholes. Lastly attach the peplum to the top.
And Tadaa... you now made a pretty peplum top all by yourself.
LET'S SEE SOME BEFORE AND AFTER PICTURES!!!
