#DigitalIndia

FOR THOSE WHO WONDER WHAT IS E-GOVERNANCE?
-E-governance aka Electronic governance is the thrust to digital envisioned by the government.
-The e-Governance Plan of the Indian Government envisions to lay the foundation and provide long-term growth of e-Governance within the country.
-It will empower us by providing access to citizen serves information on reforms and be the platform to collaborate with the government.
-Many initiatives have been undertaken by various State Governments and Central Ministries usher in an era of e-Government.
-Continuous efforts have been made to make easy the process of accessing public services and also many efforts have been made at different levels to improve the delivery of public services.
-Digital India is one envisioned application still to be fully made dependent on across the nation.
CREATED BY ME
HOW WILL THIS BENEFIT THE CITIZENS?
-It will allow citizens to access government services on the go and with a click of a button we can get information on the reforms and current public situation.
-It will save us from standing or queueing up in long lines to attain information or submit documents and in turn will be faster in using e-services.
-It will help us to be one with the government for the better working of our current system.
-E-governance supplies us with information on the creation of the right governance and institutional mechanisms, setting up the core infrastructure and policies and implementation of a number of Mission Mode Projects at the Center, State and integrated service levels.

LET ME TAKE YOU THROUGH A CUTE ANIMATED ILLUSTRATION OF THE CURRENT SITUATION VERSUS LIFE IN THE ENVISIONED DIGITAL INDIA.

ILLUSTRATED USING BITSTRIPS
HOW CAN WE MAKE THIS A REALISTIC APPROACH?
-E-government as of today is merely impossible to balance across the globe as not everyone has the Internet access and computing skills, therefore I strongly support making internet cheap and accessible to a layman to make it common among the masses and should also initiate plans to make the use of computerizing and free crash courses in backward areas.
-E-government wants to see Government services accessible every common man in his locality, through common service delivery outlets, and ensures efficiency, transparency, and reliability of such services at affordable costs to realize the basic needs of the common man.

SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE NATIONAL E-GOVERNANCE PLAN.
-The main motive of the National e-Governance Plan is to get the public services closer home to all citizens, as in the Vision Statement of NeGP
-The 31 Mission Mode Projects under the National e-Governance Plan are the vehicles for Electronic Service Delivery.
-The E-government applications that have been implemented are targeted towards providing the following with emphasis on use of local language.
-Government to Citizen (G2C),
-Government to Business (G2B) and
-Government to Government (G2G).

In my opinion Technology has the power to make India Digitized. This is only possible if we take the initiative to teach one another and make the masses aware of this very useful facility.

Social Media: Facebook, twitter, You tube etc and so many platforms who are the center of the society today. These platforms count to be the most effective ways to spread the word and encourage using and support E-governance.

Education: Free crash courses on basic computer knowledge and use of internet can help us envision a brighter future. Digitization can make our lives better and future easier.

Free Wifi: Am I asking for too much? I am sure this will be hard, but there is no harm in trying to have this planned.

Technology today has a vast collection of techniques to accomplish our objective to digital India and since every opinion matters; I asked my colleagues, family members and neighbors for their thoughts on how E-governance through technology can accelerate this vision of a digital India?
Here is what each one had to say.
CONSTANCE (My Father) Says: ''We should gather for a meeting in our colony and someone who is an expert in this should help us understand and explain the importance and efficiency of e-governance. I am sure this makes us more knowledgeable and then each one of us can spread the work and teach each other in our extended families, offices etc. Some Demos or PPT would be a great medium''.

SHILPA (Colleague) Says: ''Advertisement is they key. SMS, tv, newspapers or any medium which is accessible to each person and encounters it each day. The more we see, the more we know and we can help to spread the word through Whatsapp and other messaging portals too''.

BETSY (My Mother) Says: ''Television, the news channel should schedule a forum explaining the ease of usage of the E-Governance portal. I am sure many of us who watch T.V can take some time out to watch this''.

RASHI (My cute neighbor): She was just happy to support the cause or hold that piece of paper and pose for the camera. Kids these days are very smart. They should be educated on such topics right from the beginning in schools and colleges. After all, they are our future.

FRANK (My Boyfriend) says: "We have smart people and smart phones; it would be great to have an application on our android, windows, iOS phones which we can use on the go. Handling and managing things like Tax collection, issuing birth certificates other government related information and using other facilities will be a piece of cake''.

PRANALI (My Colleague) says: ''My kids always tell me about E-governance. But I do not have access at home because we do not have a computer and manly internet. Government should help us with Free laptops or computer in every home or us with heavy discount on these gadgets . We can then make a digital India Possible''. (Translated from Marathi)

RIYA (My neighbor): I asked Riya Who is in the 7th grade, WHAT IS GOVERNMENT? She replied ''Politics'', Ha Ha! She asked me again if she was right and I said not even close. But soon later she asked me what is it? Tell me more? And I was surprised. I strongly believe that kid are really interested to know more, the younger they are the most curious! Therefore I strongly recommend that schools and other educational institute should have a dedicated subject to explore more of the technology available today.
